Our Governors
Mrs Catherine Grace |
Catherine Grace has been Head of School at St Hugh of Lincoln Catholic Primary School since September 2022. Prior to her appointment, she was the Deputy Head at the school from 2018. During this time, she studied and achieved her NPQH. Earlier in her career, she worked within the buying teams of a large high street retailer in London and after taking a career break to have her children, qualified as a teacher and worked in Surrey schools as a teacher and senior leader. She has worked across the Xavier trust as a facilitator on the NP Programme and has supported other schools. Catherine enjoys playing tennis and she and her husband have two sons. |

Mr Mike O’Donovan |
Mike was first appointed in October 2013, and was appointed Chair of the committee, a position he still holds. Mike and his family have lived in the Woking area for the past 46 years. As well as being Chair, Mike is currently the lead Safeguarding Governor. He also sits on both the admissions and pay committees. Mike also volunteers as a panel member for Surrey County Council Schools Appeals. |

Mrs Margaret Claire Embleton |
Margaret-Claire became a Foundation Governor in 2015/6, is the treasure for the Governors fund and the Governor for SEN and wellbeing. Margaret-Claire has two adult daughters, who both attended St. Hugh of Lincoln School. Margaret-Claire works in the City as a Global Chief Operating Office in a Bank. She has been a member of St. Hugh of Lincoln Church since she and her husband moved to Knaphill in 1996. She is a Eucharistic Minister and has been active in many programmes such as Children Liturgy, Holy Communication and Confirmation. | |

Mrs Anna Grossi |
Anna joined the St Hughs Governing Body as a Parent Governor in November 2021 and changed her Governor status to that of Staff Governor in June 2023. She has two children who both attend St Hughs and she has worked in the school office since September 2019. Prior to having her children Anna worked for UK Payments as an HR Manager. The school has a wonderful caring ethos alongside its academic achievements and Anna wants to support the school in maintaining its values and meeting its objectives. |

Mrs Cath Wellbelove |
Cath Wellbelove was appointed as a foundation governor in October 2021 and is the RE link governor. She lived in the parish as a child and moved back to the area almost 40 years ago. She has helped to run various sacramental programs in the church and continues to be active in the parish. Her husband Rob is the Deacon at St Hugh’s and their four daughters have all attended the school. Before retiring Cath worked as Art Technician at SJB, and has taken this role to give back to the community that has been a large part of her family’s life. She also volunteers with Woking Repair Café and as a helper with the Diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes. |

Mr Vin-Sing Ming |
Vin-Sing was appointed to the Board in January 2023. He is an experienced technology risk, control and governance professional and works in the financial sector. Vin-Sing would like to share his experience of working with senior leadership teams to support the school's leadership team and teaching staff in delivery of their strategic plan for the school. He is married with two sons and attends mass at St Dunstan's. |

Mr Youichi Iisaka |
Youichi was appointed a Foundation Governor in 2023. He and his family have lived in Woking for the past four years and their daughter attends St Hugh’s. Youichi is a solicitor with a particular interest in the education sector, working currently in-house for a leading language and management business school. He is a keen runner and enjoys playing tennis. |

Mr Kevin Peaston |
Kevin was appointed as a Foundation Governor at St Hugh’s in October 2023, shortly after his twins started in Reception Class. He is excited to have the opportunity to support the school in delivering its objectives, upholding their values and Catholic ethos.
A civil servant of 25 years, Kevin has lived in the Woking area for the past 17 years. He has been involved in Parish life since his teens, running Sacramental programmes and is the current Parish Webmaster.
Kevin holds the position of Parish and Diocesan (Lourdes Pilgrimage) Master of Ceremonies. |

Mr Jonathan Ray |
Jonny has recently joined the St Hugh governing body as parent governor. He has only lived in the Woking area for a short period with his wife and son. Prior to that, his family were living in Weybridge. His son has recently joined Reception Year at St Hugh and is enjoying being part of school life. Jonny worked in advertising for 10 years, both in the UK and abroad. A recent shift saw Jonny move into the charity sector, working for a sustainable transport charity and now works for Surrey County Council promoting active and sustainable travel - something which Jonny is very passionate about. Jonny is a keen tennis player, who enjoys cycling and music. |
